Terms of Use

Last Updated: October 7, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of https://chadbrownlaw.com, our secure client portal, and any other website, page, or online service operated by Chad Brown Law, PLLC (“Chad Brown Law,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) that links to these Terms (together, the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Our Legal Disclaimer and Privacy Policy are incorporated into these Terms.

1. Information Only; No Attorney-Client Relationship

The Site provides general information only. It is not legal or medical advice, and your use of the Site does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please read our Legal Disclaimer for important limitations.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site. A parent, legal guardian, or authorized representative may submit information on behalf of a minor or another person they are legally authorized to act for.

3. Accessibility

We want the Site to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. If you have difficulty accessing any part of the Site, call us at (336) 546-5066 or email info@chadbrownlaw.com, and we will work with you to provide the information in another way.

4. License to Use the Site

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for your own non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice.

5. Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content, except for personal, non-commercial use or as permitted by law;
  • frame or mirror the Site, or remove any copyright, trademark, or other notice;
  • scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Site by automated means, including for training artificial intelligence or machine learning models;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, the client portal, other users’ accounts, or our systems, or interfere with their security or operation;
  • submit false or misleading information, or impersonate another person;
  • upload viruses or other harmful code; or
  • use the Site for any unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, or abusive purpose.

Any unauthorized use automatically ends your license to use the Site.

6. Intellectual Property

The Site and its content, including text, articles, videos, podcasts, graphics, logos, and the design and arrangement of the Site, are owned by or licensed to Chad Brown Law and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our names, logos, or trademarks.

You may share links to our pages and videos. Any other use requires our prior written permission.

7. Information You Submit

You are responsible for the information you submit through the Site, including contact forms, chat, intake questionnaires, and uploads. You confirm that the information is accurate and that you have the right to provide it, including any information about another person.

We use the information you submit to respond to you, evaluate whether we can help, and provide our services, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not publish or commercially use your personal information or the details of your matter.

If you voluntarily send us suggestions or feedback about the Site or our services, we may use that feedback without obligation to you.

8. Client Portal

Our secure client portal is available only to current clients and their authorized representatives. Access is provided through our case management system and is subject to these Terms and your fee agreement.

  • Keep your login credentials confidential, and do not share your account with anyone else.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at (336) 546-5066 if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • We may suspend or end portal access to protect your information or our systems, or when our representation ends.

The portal is a convenience. It may be unavailable from time to time and may not reflect the most current status of your case. Your attorney-client relationship is governed by your fee agreement and our professional obligations, not by these Terms.

9. Calls, Email, and Recording

When you give us a phone number or email address, you agree that we may contact you there about your inquiry or matter, including by call, text message, and email. Some calls with our office may be recorded for quality, training, and record-keeping purposes.

10. Text Messaging Program

We offer text messaging through our communications provider, Nextiva, for both informational and marketing purposes (the “Text Program”).

11. Third-Party Sites and Content

The Site may link to or embed content from third parties, such as YouTube, social media platforms, and government websites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites, content, or privacy practices. A link does not mean we endorse the third party.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHAD BROWN LAW AND ITS ATTORNEYS AND STAFF WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE OR ITS CONTENT.

Nothing in these Terms limits any duty we owe to a client under our fee agreement, the North Carolina Rules of Professional Conduct, or applicable law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chad Brown Law and its attorneys and staff from claims arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

15. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site must be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Iredell County, North Carolina, or the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, as shown by the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

17. General

If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with our Legal Disclaimer and Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site. They do not replace or modify any fee agreement or other agreement governing our representation of a client.
